Welly Rally 2019
Hello fellow Autotrailers
With the winter now well and truely upon us, it may be best to just focus on what you can do in your A/T in spring.
And here is a fantastic idea.
Why not plan a break in the lower half of the North Island in October/November time. It is a lovely area and well worth spending time in. I can recommend it personall.
Of course the highlight of such a trip would be the 2019 Autotrail Rally of the year at Solway Park, Masterton.
The dates are 1st to the 3rd of November.
We have a very enthusiatic, imaginative and hardworking committee in place headed by Linda Westbury.
Linda has sent me a teaser about the rally and I have included it below so that you may know what to expect, or at least some of what to expect anyway.
Update on 2019 ATOC Rally to be held at the picturesque Solway Showgrounds, Masterton from 1 – 3 November.
Just a few of the highlights the enthusiastic organising team have lined up for you
- Hot topics! ebikes and solar power
- Workshops including a motorhome cooking session!
- A fun night to test your Motorhoming knowledge with prizes galore!
- Saturday night dinner, live music and dancing!
- Welcome bags full of freebies!
- Bus tours taking in the beautiful Wairarapa sights and destinations!
Early arrivals can join in an organised bike trek and coffee around Masterton on Friday morning!
If you have not been to an ATOC rally before, it is like an extended family reunion. This year we even have our own “Camp Mother”!
Registrations will open on the club website in August so block out your calendar, start planning!
With what the Wairarapa has to offer you may like to add a few extra days on to your trip!
We look forward to a great time of socialising with our AT friends.
Web site: Could you please update your personal details to keep the site current, especially members who have changed Motorhomes or are no longer Autotrail owners.
Facebook Group: The Autotrail NZ Facebook group is very active and has grown to over 330 members."
Something in there for everyone I reckon.
If you are considering coming to this rally, or perhaps it might even be your first A/T rally, I would urge you to make the right decision and come along. You will have fun, make new friends and create some great memories.
And you will learn more about your AT, and that cant be bad.
Planning and organising a rally requires a big effort from a lot of people, and the best way to show our appreciation of them and their work is to come along to the rally and enjoy it. You wont be disappointed.
So....... November the 1st to the 3rd are the dates. Mark it out in your diary now.
Cheers and I look forward to seeing you at the Welly Rally.
