Fun, information, camaraderie and friends are what we are all about.

Friday night happy hour first. Later, in the evening is the usual welcome and then the fun starts. The ladies on the committee have very clever and entertaining things in store for you, so be prepared to have a great time.

NB: Everyone will receive (1 per motorhome) a goodie bag containing products and vouchers, courtesy of our sponsors, to take away with them. No one misses out.

From about 6 am to 9am on Saturday morning there will be horses running trackwork on the race course. We are asked to avoid loud noises, keep pets inside, or at least quiet and well away from the track and the horses. We must take this request seriously as our complying with it is a condition of our being allowed to use the racecourse.

On the plus side we are welcome to go up into the stands on the Saturday morning to watch the horses in action.

Now back to the program, on Saturday morning the cat will be out of the bag, as Dan Monk from Auckland Motorhomes divulges the secrets and innovations incorporated into the 2019 Autotrail models. You may even get the urge to place an order. Wouldn’t that be great.

Then we bring in the experts to share their knowledge with you on topics dear to our hearts.

For example:

E-Bikes – the fun and easy way to keep rolling
Solar panels and Batteries – how to keep powered up
Electric Cars – having the power and will to own one
Awnings and shades – perhaps a new dawning for your awning
General A/T advice – improving on perfection
Fire extinguishers in Motorhomes – make sure you are not fired
And more yet to be confirmed

Saturday afternoon is all about a Coach trip around Tauranga and Mt Maunganui to see the wonderful sites of this beautiful part of the world. Numbers are limited on the coaches so register and pay early to avoid disappointment.

And of course it will soon be time for another happy hour to further enjoy the catching up with old friends and making new ones.

Saturday evening brings a sumptuous and inviting dinner, at the Fairway Lounge within the race course complex. You confirm your place at our table, by ticking the box and paying up front at time of registration. In the past the Saturday night dinners have been a highlight, so don’t go hungry on the night, come and join in with your friends.

Sunday morning kicks off with morning tea at 10 after which we run a short meeting to cover A/T matters and establish where next years rally will be and who the key personnel are to be.

At around 11 o’clock the Fire Brigade arrives to advise on how to protect our A/Ts in the case of fire and what to do to ensure that our fire extinguishers are suitable and effective.

At around midday the Rally draws to a close and members can drift off to pastures anew with all members departed by 4 pm.

Key points to note:

Numbers are strictly limited to 150 vans and 300 people on a first come first served basis
You elect to join in on the dinner, and/or register for the coach trip at time of registration
The timetable with actual times is diplayed when you register
Full payment is required at the time of registration to confirm your reservation for your chosen options
Direct banking facilities are available and the account number is on the registration form. Cheques can be sent for those who prefer.
Refunds can be made in the event of unforeseen circumstances up to and including the 12th October.

And one final note to store away:

Entry on the Friday to the Tauranga Race course Cameron Road Gate Pa cannot be before be before 10am and ideally not later than 2.30pm. After 2.30 pm on a Friday traffic becomes very heavy on Cameron Road and being stuck in it is no fun.

So……. See you there
