Latest from ATOC NZ
Good morning fellow Autotrailers
Earlier technical problems this morning meant that some of you may have received a partially drafted newsletter from us. Please ignore that in favour of this version.
Welcome to our Autumn newsletter. The club continues to roll along smoothly with a steady flow of new members coming in each week. And we welcome them all with open arms. If you are getting this newsletter, but have sold or changed your Autotrail, can you please update your listing on the website.
Now, Club News:
ATOC NZ bumper stickers. We were unable to find a friendly printer who could reprint them for free. However thanks to the efforts of our member and previous printer Sue Fifield, we got on to Brendan Best at best Design in Ashburton. Brendan printed 200 for us for $248. If you want one of these they are for sale at $2 each. Thanks to Sue and Brendan. They will be available at the rally.
Rally 2018 Tauranga. The Rally 2018 is five months away and is starting to shape up with some really interesting stuff happening. The dates are 26th to the 28th October. So mark your calendars now. Those who wish to arrive in sunny Tauranga early or stay on later can do so at one of the many Freedom Camping spots available in the greater Tauranga area. Lists of options will be available at registration time.
We have some great new sponsors coming on board this year, as well as a number of those from previous years. We can guarantee that the occupants of every single M/H will walk away with a number of sponsor’s products as well as discount vouchers for many others. You will not miss out!
Presenters on various topics of interest to all are being lined up as well. The rally and the dinner will all be on the racecourse premises in Tauranga.
So here it comes, another informative, successful and enjoyable ATOC NZ Rally.
Numbers will be limited this year to 150 Vans, so you will need to register early, once the registrations open in early August. We are setting up a prepayment system this year which means that you can pay for the rally and the Saturday night dinner all at once upon registration. We will have a bank account set up primarily for this purpose.
As the Club Administrators Rose and I take a strong interest in the club and are keen to do as much as possible to keep it vibrant, fresh and relevant. However we are finding that there doesn’t seem to be much to do. We think that is most likely because David and Lyn have set things up so well in the first few years that it just ticks over perfectly well. However it could also be that we are not doing things we should be doing. So if you wish to comment, please feel free to do so.
And with that we sign off.
Kind Regards and happy travelling
John and Rose Smith
P.S. We look forward to seeing you at the rally in October.
